About Me

I am a mum to three children and I have lived in Burwell for 13 years. We love animals and we have one crazy loveable dog. As a family we love music, concerts, going to the theatre, reading and spending time with our friends.

I work part-time as an Office Manager for a healthcare training company and I have over 25 years of administration experience. My involvement in various roles within the healthcare sector has inspired me to return to education and I am currently studying Psychology and Well Being with the Open University.

In the past, I have also worked as a carer, a nanny and a weight-loss consultant which allowed me the opportunity to meet and work with a wide variety of people. I love helping others and I recently stepped down from my role as treasurer for the local PTA, after volunteering for 6 years.

I am really excited to be able to launch this new phase of my career.

Services

Admin Support

I can offer support with most general life admin. Online forms, telephone calls, writing letters / emails, online shopping, simple technology issues, mobile phone help, general paperwork and filing.

Home Help

Regular or adhoc visits can be arranged to support light cleaning and tidying, laundry, changing beds, putting bins out etc. There are many tasks I am happy to support but please note I CANNOT provide personal care, medication administration or professional cleaning services. Please message or call to discuss requirements.

Shopping & Errands

I can collect prescriptions, go shopping in person with a list or help with an online order. I am also happy to take you in person and accompany you, or wait whilst you carry out errands by yourself. Mileage is payable at 50p per mile in addition to the hourly rate along with any parking fees.
** Please note whilst I can collect a prescription, I cannot fill a dosette box or administer any medications. I am also unable to collect controlled drugs or drugs not on a prescription.

Welfare Checks

I can pop by to check in to make sure your loved one is ok adhoc or regularly. The minimum charge is 1 hour so it may be best to twin with another service to be cost effective.

Wellbeing Companionship

Ad-hoc or regular visits can be arranged for a simple chat, an appointment or outing.

Transport & Trips Out

Lifts to appointments and trips out are all possible adhoc or scheduled. Please note I cannot always guarantee I am available at very short notice but always welcome to ask me. Mileage is payable in addition to the hourly rate at 50p per mile.

Virtual Assistant

I can offer a virtual admin service for your small business, ad-hoc or regularly please contact me to discuss your requirements. Sorry I am unable to help with cold calling.

Emergency Childcare / Babysitting

I will be offering short notice / emergency childcare in your home only, as I am not ofsted registered. This will be at my standard rate and minimum 1 hour charge. Only available once I have completed my Paediatric First Aid refresher course. I will also be offering babysitting too, rates for this are different to my standard rates please enquire.

Small furniture collection

Hiring a van to collect something you want to buy on Facebook Marketplace for example can be costly. If it will fit in my car (large people carrier) I may be able to help. Please enquire with requirements as I am currently looking into insurance for this service.

Important Information

I am DBS checked (enhanced). I hold public liability insurance and all relevant insurances for services offered. Copies of these can be shown in person along with my relevant training certificates. I cannot upload here for security purposes.

My hourly rate is £20 per hour minimum booking is 1 hour.

Invoices and Receipts will be given, I will never ask for payment in advance, payment is due on the day unless by prior arrangement. This is for my protection and yours as I will never contact you by email, post or via facebook for payments to avoid any scam situations.

Travel time within Burwell is included please contact me for any other area.

Abuse of any kind will not be tolerated I reserve the right to cancel any booking where I feel unsafe or threatened.

Apologies for any upset this may cause but for the safety of myself, other clients and my own family I may not be able to enter your home if you are knowingly aware of any contagious illness please double check with me first, in some cases PPE can be worn if not please cancel the booking there will be no cancellation fees. Doorstep drops can be offered in these circumstances.

I have a duty of care to report any safeguarding issues to the relevant authorities as does anyone working with vulnerable adults or children.

I do not offer nor am I insured to provide personal care, administration of medications, professional cleaning or a taxi service. There are many wonderful people already offering these services locally and I am looking to work alongside these folks not replace them.
